Other Ways To Help SARR 🐾

You don't have to foster an animal to make a difference!

At Shepparton Animal Rescue & Rehoming (SARR), we know that fostering isn't possible for everyone, but there are so many other ways you can help us continue saving lives.

As a volunteer run, foster based rescue, we rely heavily on the generosity of our community to provide food, veterinary care, bedding, enrichment and everyday essentials for the animals in our care.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us stretch our resources further and provide the best possible care for the animals who need us.

Donate Food, Litter Or Supplies

One of the simplest ways to support SARR is by donating everyday essentials.

With animals living across multiple foster homes, we go through an enormous amount of food, litter, cleaning products and other supplies.

Donating even a single bag of litter or a few tins of food helps reduce our ongoing expenses, allowing us to direct more funds towards veterinary treatment and rescuing additional animals.

Where Can I Drop Off Donations?

We have several convenient options for dropping off donations.

Public Donation Drop Off Points

📍 Mooroopna Hardware, Mooroopna

📍 Pets Domain, Shepparton

Private Donation Drop Off Locations

We also have donation drop off locations available in both Mooroopna and Shepparton.

Simply contact us to arrange a drop off and we'll provide the appropriate address.

Please don't leave donations at private addresses without arranging this with us first.

Want to help but don't have time to organise a donation drop off?

Our Amazon Wishlist makes supporting SARR incredibly easy!

We've put together a list of items that we regularly need, from everyday essentials to enrichment toys and supplies for animals in foster care.

You can select something from our wishlist, purchase it online and have it delivered directly to us.

It's a wonderful option for people who live outside the Goulburn Valley but still want to support our rescue.

❤️ Make A Financial Donation

Financial donations are another incredibly valuable way to support SARR.

While donated supplies help cover everyday needs, veterinary care remains one of our largest ongoing expenses.

Every animal entering our care requires appropriate veterinary treatment, which may include vaccinations, desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention and treatment for illness or injury.

Some animals arrive needing extensive medical treatment, surgery or ongoing care before they are ready for adoption.

Financial donations help us provide that care without compromising an animal's welfare.

SARR is a registered Australian charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement, meaning eligible donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

Whether you can contribute $5, $20 or something more substantial, every dollar helps.

Other Ways You Can Support SARR

Not every contribution needs to involve money or supplies.

You can also make a difference by:

  • Sharing our adoption profiles and helping animals find their forever homes.

  • Sharing our fundraising campaigns and donation appeals.

  • Organising a food or litter collection through your workplace, school or community group.

  • Hosting a fundraiser to support our veterinary expenses.

  • Hosting a Bunnings sausage sizzle on our behalf.

  • Encouraging local businesses to support or sponsor our rescue.

  • Donating your time or skills to help with rescue operations.

  • Spreading awareness about responsible pet ownership, desexing and adoption.

Sometimes something as simple as sharing an animal's adoption profile can help them find the home they've been waiting for.

Every Little Bit Makes A Difference

Rescue isn't possible without a community willing to stand behind it.

Every bag of food, every box of litter, every financial contribution and every person who shares our work helps us continue doing what we do.

You don't have to open your home to an animal to be part of their rescue journey.

You just have to care enough to help in whatever way you can.

From all of us at SARR, and the animals whose lives you help change, thank you. ❤️🐾
