SARR Pet Food Pantry
SARR Pet Food Pantry Helping local pets stay fed, healthy and with the people who love them.
At Shepparton Animal Rescue & Rehoming, we understand that sometimes life gets tough. The cost of living continues to put pressure on households, and for some families, providing the everyday essentials for their pets can become a real struggle.
We believe that needing a little help shouldn't mean having to give up a much loved pet.
Our Pet Food Pantry aims to support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship by providing essential pet supplies when we have them available.
What assistance can we offer?
Depending on donations and available supplies, we may be able to assist with:
Dry and wet dog food
Dry and wet cat food
Puppy and kitten food
Flea and worming treatments
Cat litter
Cat carriers
Collars, leads and harnesses
Food and water bowls
Other basic pet care essentials
Who can apply?
You must live within the Greater Shepparton Municipality.
Our Pet Food Pantry is intended for people experiencing genuine financial difficulty who need a helping hand to continue caring for their cats or dogs.
We understand that hardship looks different for everyone. Whether you're experiencing unexpected expenses, unemployment, illness, housing difficulties or other challenging circumstances, we encourage you to tell us a little about your situation.
You don't need to feel embarrassed about asking for help. Our aim is to support responsible pet ownership and help keep pets with their families wherever possible.
How does it work?
To request assistance, please complete our Pet Food Pantry Application Form.
Every application is reviewed individually, taking into consideration your circumstances, the needs of your pets and the supplies we currently have available.
Please understand:
Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. All assistance is subject to donated stock and available resources. We may not have the specific food, treatment or items requested. Assistance may be limited in quantity or frequency to allow us to help as many households as possible. This program is intended to provide short term support rather than ongoing pet food supplies.
We are a volunteer run charity, and our ability to help depends entirely on the generosity of our community.
Sometimes a little support can make a big difference, both for a pet and the person who loves them.
